Álvaro Pastor is an awarded film director and screenwriter. His first feature movie Yo, También opened in the San Sebastian International Film Festival winning prizes for both it's leading cast, as well as the Audience Award at Rotterdam Film Festival and competed in Sundance. Álvaro was also a finalist for best new director at the Goya Awards in Spain that year, where the film won best actress for Lola Dueñas. As a commercial director his work has a prominent documentary approach with a keen eye on persons and their stories. He has travelled the world shooting for international brands and his work for Microsoft, Nomad Ecographies, won a Sol in Spain and was shortlisted in Cannes Lions. He is currently preparing his second feature under the title, Hawai.
